Privacy policy

Improved is a personal time tracker made by Breno Cunha Queiroz. This policy says what the app and this website store, why, who else handles it, and how you can see or delete it. Questions go to brenocq.br@gmail.com.

Your data is never sold. Improved shows no ads and contains no advertising SDK.

Your account

You sign in with Firebase Authentication, with an email and password or with Google sign-in. Your account is identified by that sign-in.

What you enter

Everything you enter (projects, folders, tasks, records, values, goals, your plan, Home cards, courses, lessons, reviews and assistant conversations) is stored in Google’s Cloud Firestore under your account, and in a local database on each of your devices, so the app works offline. Feedback screenshots, and files your own agent sends you in the assistant chat, are stored in Cloud Storage, where only you can read them.

An Android device registers a Firebase Cloud Messaging token under your account, so changes you make elsewhere reach it.

What we measure

The app sends crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics (not from the web app) and usage events, such as screens opened and key actions, through Firebase Analytics, to fix and improve the app.

Integrations you choose

• Google Calendar (optional, connected on Android) uses the scopes openid email https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar. It writes one event per tracked session to the calendar you pick for each project, and reads the events of the calendars you pick to show them as busy time; those events are never stored. The refresh token is kept on the server only. Improved’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• WHOOP (optional, connected on Android) uses the scopes read:sleep offline. Your sleeps become records. Its tokens are kept on the server only.
• MCP access: a personal access token you make in Settings lets an AI app act as you, with access to your data. Tokens are shown once, stored only as SHA-256 hashes, and revoked in Settings.
• Your own agent: assistant messages travel through Firestore to a bridge on your own computer. Improved stores your messages and only the names of the tools your agent ran, never their inputs or outputs. If you turn on “Show the agent’s steps in detail”, it also keeps a one-line summary of each step, with secrets removed. Images your agent draws for a figure are stored in Firestore.

This website

improved.brenocq.com sets no cookies and loads no analytics script. It remembers the language you pick, if you pick one, in your browser’s local storage; nothing is sent anywhere. Firebase Hosting keeps request logs (IP address, user agent, URL and referrer) for 30 days, for security and to count visits, on the basis of legitimate interest.

If you ask for early access by email, your message lands in the maker’s inbox. It is used only to reply and to invite you to the test on Google Play, and deleted when you ask.

Deleting your account

Delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), or ask by email without the app (see Delete your account). It goes for good: all your data and files, your feedback screenshots, your WHOOP and Google Calendar connections (we revoke our access) and your personal access tokens. Events already written to your Google Calendar stay there; they are yours to delete.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data. Write to brenocq.br@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not reduce your rights without your consent.
